Student Wellbeing
At Sorrento Primary School, we recognise that interpersonal development and personal learning are crucial components of a well-rounded education. We believe that students should not only develop their academic skills, but also their personal and social competencies, including communication, collaboration, self-awareness, ethical and empathic behaviour, and resilience.
Our teachers and staff work hard to create a safe and inclusive environment where students can develop their interpersonal and personal learning skills through purposeful teaching and learning activities, such as peer mentoring, community service projects, cultural diversity programs, and wellbeing initiatives.
We encourage our students to become active and engaged members of their local and wider community, and to use their skills and knowledge to make a positive contribution to society.
At Sorrento Primary School, we believe in fostering a sense of responsibility, respect and kindness, and equipping our students with the skills they need to thrive both personally and academically, and to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
