SPS Wellbeing Hub
Connection • Belonging • Wellbeing • Learning
At Sorrento Primary School, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, connected, understood and valued. Positive relationships, a strong sense of belonging and emotional wellbeing create the foundation for children to thrive both personally and academically.
Our approach focuses on creating the conditions for every child to flourish. Through strong relationships, explicit wellbeing education and early identification, we support students to develop the social, emotional and personal skills they need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
This Wellbeing Hub provides families with an insight into our wellbeing approach, programs and supports, along with practical articles, resources and information to support children’s wellbeing at home and at school.

Concerned About Your Child?
If you have concerns about your child’s social, emotional or mental wellbeing, we encourage you to contact your child’s classroom teacher in the first instance.
As the adult who spends the most time with your child each day, the classroom teacher is often best placed to gather observations, understand the context and begin working in partnership with you to support your child.
If further support is needed, your child’s teacher will work collaboratively with our Wellbeing Team and school leadership to determine the most appropriate next steps. This may include additional classroom supports, targeted wellbeing interventions, meetings with families or referral to the Wellbeing Team in line with our school’s Student Support Framework.
We believe the best outcomes are achieved when schools and families work together, and we are committed to providing timely, collaborative and individualised support for every student.
To get started, please contact your child’s classroom teacher via Compass or the school office.
